MHI Vestas UK was constructing a new wind turbine blade refurbishment facility on the site of a former power station in Fawley, Southampton. Activities to be carried out include the repair, preparation and spray painting of wind turbines in a purpose-built enclosure on site. At the start of we were asked to provide expert support to look at both DSEAR and fire risks for the intended operations. This was then followed up again as the project came to completion.
